Visitors walk through original control rooms, communication posts and narrow concrete corridors, all kept in authentic condition with maps, radios and equipment from the era. The bunker once served as Odense Municipality’s emergency headquarters, designed to shelter key officials and operate independently for weeks if needed. Today, its exhibitions bring to life the tense political climate of the time, exploring civil defence, local preparedness and the realities of life behind sealed doors. This 450m² underground command center, restored with original artifacts, electricity, water supplies, and exhibits on civil defense, police, and the Eastern threat, offers guided tours revealing how officials prepared for nuclear crisis.
