Kongens Have (King's Garden) is located in the heart of Odense, Denmark, directly across from Odense Station at the intersection of Jernbanegade to the west and Østre Stationsvej to the north, with its formal entrance facing Odense Castle. This 20,000 square meter baroque palace garden, established in the 1720s, serves as Odense's oldest and most central green space. Immediately adjacent stands Odense Castle, while Sankt Hans Church connects to the castle's southern wing just steps away. Within a short walk visitors can reach H.C. Andersen's House museum approximately 400 meters south, the Danish Railway Museum (Danmarks Jernbanemuseum) nearby to the east, and the Carl Nielsen Museum. The vibrant pedestrian shopping street Vestergade with its cafes and shops lies about 500 meters west, while Odense Cathedral (Sct. Knuds Church) and Kunstmuseum Brandts art museum are within 600 to 800 meters. The Odense River and Eventyrhaven (Fairy Tale Garden) are accessible within 700 meters, leading toward Munke Mose park, making Kongens Have an ideal starting point for exploring the city's cultural attractions.
