Odense Zoo is located at Søndre Boulevard 306, 5000 Odense, in the Dalum area just south of Odense city center, Denmark. Founded in 1930, this 3.6-hectare zoological garden sits close to the motorway with free parking directly opposite the main entrance, making it easily accessible for families and visitors. The zoo features over 2,000 animals from around the world, including highlights like the Savannah exhibit, South American Rainforest, polar bear area, and opportunities to hand-feed giraffes. Nearby attractions include Fruens Bøge Skov (Beech Wood Forest), a scenic woodland park along the Odense River, located just south of the zoo. Following the riverside paths northward leads directly to Munke Mose Park approximately 1.5 kilometers away, creating a pleasant walking or cycling route through green corridors. The Funen Village (Den Fynske Landsby) open-air museum lies about 2 kilometers northwest, while Hollufgård Slotspark sculpture park is roughly 3 kilometers southeast.
