Eventyrhaven (The Fairy Tale Garden) is located in the heart of Odense, Denmark, along the Odense River (Odense Å) directly behind Odense Cathedral (Sct. Knuds Kirke) and Odense City Hall, with the area centered around Eventyrhaven 1, 5000 Odense C. This 2.8-hectare park, established in the late 19th century, features riverside lawns, mature trees, charming bridges, and numerous Hans Christian Andersen-inspired sculptures including The Little Mermaid, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, and Thumbelina. Immediately nearby stands Odense Cathedral, one of Denmark's most important medieval churches, while Odense City Hall and Flakhaven (the main town square) are just steps away. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk visitors can reach H.C. Andersen's House museum, the Brandts art museum (Kunstmuseum Brandts), and the historic Møntergården city museum. The park connects directly via riverside paths to Munke Mose Park to the south, creating a continuous green corridor ideal for walking or cycling. A small wooden bridge crosses the river toward the cathedral, while the charming old streets of Paaskestræde, Overgade, and Nedergade with their cafes and boutiques lie just north. During summer, the park's small fairy-tale castle stage hosts performances, and a kiosk offers refreshments.
