The Muzeum Podróżników im. Tony'ego Halika in Toruń celebrates the life and adventures of one of Poland’s most famous travellers and documentary makers. Located near the Old Town, the museum presents a captivating collection of objects gathered by Halik and his wife, Elżbieta Dzikowska, during their journeys across several continents. Visitors can explore artefacts from remote cultures, traditional crafts, photographs and film materials that reveal the scale of their explorations and the curiosity that drove them. The intimate exhibition spaces create a sense of stepping into a traveller’s archive, filled with stories of distant places and encounters. The Muzeum Podróżników im. Tony’ego Halika (Tony Halik Explorers’ Museum) is located in Toruń’s Old Town at ul. Franciszkańska 9/11, in a historic tenement building just north of the Old Town Market Square. The museum lies within the compact medieval core, a short walk from the main Rynek Staromiejski, the Old Town Hall and the Toruń Planetarium. Nearby attractions include the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Copernicus House Museum, the Toruń History Museum, various gingerbread‑related sites and the Vistula River promenade, all within a few minutes’ stroll through the cobbled streets of the Old Town.
