Mostowa Gate, also known as Bridge Gate (Brama Mostowa), is located at ul. Mostowa in Toruń's UNESCO-listed Old Town, at the southeastern edge near the Vistula River, constructed in 1432 as part of the medieval defensive walls with characteristic rounded corners for artillery resistance. Originally called Transport or Ferry Gate, it led to a Vistula crossing and later the city's first permanent wooden bridge built in 1500. Nearby, explore the Teutonic Castle ruins and Philadelphia Boulevard riverside promenades just steps away, the vibrant Old Town Market Square 500 meters north, St. John's Cathedral along Żeglarska Street, and other Gothic gates like Brama Żeglarska. The Leaning Tower, House of Nicolaus Copernicus, and gingerbread museums enrich this historic riverside quarter.
