Sem Church is located in the village of Sem, about 5 kilometres west of Tønsberg city centre in Vestfold. Vestfold’s oldest stone church, it was built before 1100 in Romanesque style and originally served as a parish church for the royal Sem Manor. The white stone church seats about 211 and features a medieval crucifix, wooden Madonna sculpture, pulpit from 1591, and a reconstructed altarpiece with a modern painting.
