The museum is housed in a historic 19th-century building and tells the story of Estonia’s song festival tradition, the Singing Revolution, and how choral music shaped national identity. Its exhibits feature instruments, photographs, recordings, interactive displays, and artifacts that trace Estonian culture from the first song festival in 1869 to today. Visitors often praise the intimate scale, informative storytelling, and summer theatre performances held in the museum’s courtyard. A small café and gift shop with local crafts add to the experience.
