Dvořák Gardens, also called Dvořákovy sady, are located right in the center of Karlovy Vary, along the Teplá River between the Park Colonnade and the Grandhotel Pupp. Named after composer Antonín Dvořák, who often visited the town, this peaceful park is one of the city’s most popular green spaces. The gardens are framed by elegant spa architecture and shaded by old trees, with flower beds, a pond with sculptures, and a monument to Dvořák himself. It’s a favorite spot for concerts and quiet walks during spa treatments. From the park, most of Karlovy Vary’s top sights are just steps away. The Park Colonnade, with its cast-iron structure and mineral springs, sits at the garden’s edge. Cross the river and you’re at the Mill Colonnade, the town’s largest colonnade with five hot springs under 124 columns. A 3-minute walk brings you to the Karlovy Vary City Theatre on Theatre Square, a Neo-Baroque gem from 1886. The iconic Grandhotel Pupp, venue of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, overlooks the gardens. You’re also close to the Market Colonnade, Hot Spring Colonnade with the Vřídlo geyser, and the funicular to Diana Lookout Tower for valley views.
