Vila Doktora Lisku in Piešťany is a refined example of early 20th‑century spa architecture, built for Dr. Liskú, one of the physicians who helped shape Piešťany’s rise as a modern therapeutic centre. The villa stands out for its elegant façade with subtle Art Nouveau curves and decorative details inspired by the spa’s natural environment. An interesting fact is that the house was designed to function both as a residence and a consulting space, reflecting the era when doctors lived and worked directly within the spa community. Inside, visitors can explore rooms furnished in the style of interwar bourgeois living, with original wooden panelling, period furniture, and delicate glasswork. The study, once used for medical consultations, displays objects connected to Piešťany’s spa medicine, including early diagnostic tools and archival photographs. Decorative elements—stained‑glass windows, floral motifs, and crafted metalwork—highlight the villa’s artistic value. The atmosphere is intimate, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of a respected spa doctor and the social world surrounding Piešťany’s golden age. Vila Doktora Lisku is a small but evocative stop for anyone exploring the town’s architectural and medical heritage.

Within a short walk, you can reach the famous Spa Island (Kúpeľný ostrov), Piešťany's unique resort island in Europe and the largest health resort in Slovakia, which features art sculptures, historic spa buildings, and the beautiful Colonnade Bridge (Kolonádový most) with the famous statue of a man breaking his crutch – the symbol of Piešťany. The oldest spa building, Napoleon's Bath from the 19th century, is also on the island.
