The Church of St. Stephen the King in Piešťany is a modest yet historically resonant landmark, dedicated to Hungary’s first Christian king and reflecting the region’s medieval roots. Although rebuilt and adapted over time, it preserves the calm, village‑church character that once defined the outskirts of Piešťany before the spa town expanded around it. Its simple exterior hides a surprisingly warm and intimate interior shaped by centuries of local devotion. Inside, visitors can admire the main altar dedicated to St. Stephen, featuring traditional Central European religious iconography. The side altars, each with their own saints and stories, offer a glimpse into the spiritual life of earlier generations.
