About

Founded in 2013 by Bea Puskás and Tomas Opitz, TOBE Gallery is a Budapest-based contemporary art space with a distinct focus on photography and collage. Located on Bródy Sándor Street in the Palace District, the gallery champions Hungarian and Ibero-American artists who blend high artistic standards with experimental approaches. TOBE Gallery has carved out a unique identity by fostering dialogue between photography and other visual media, including painting, sculpture, and video. Its curatorial program is driven by the belief that photography holds equal weight among artistic disciplines, and exhibitions often explore cross-medium interactions. The gallery’s international presence is strong, with regular participation in fairs such as Paris Photo and Photo London. In addition to its main space, the TOBE Project initiative expands its reach by supporting emerging artists and interdisciplinary collaborations. Open Tuesday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:00, TOBE Gallery offers a fresh perspective on contemporary visual culture in Budapest.
