Palacio de Anaya stands on Plaza de Anaya, directly behind Salamanca’s New Cathedral, in the heart of the old town and university quarter. It forms one side of the broad, elegant square that opens out towards the cathedral façades, making it a natural stopping point on any walk between the cathedrals and the historic campus of the University of Salamanca. Very close by are key landmarks such as the Old and New Cathedrals, Casa Lis (the Art Nouveau and Art Deco museum), the Casa Museo Unamuno, the Cueva de Salamanca and several small museums and churches, all within a few minutes’ walk.
