Igreja de São João Evangelista, also known as the Jesuit College Church, is located on Largo do Colégio (Praça do Município) in the historic center of Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, adjoining the former Jesuit College. It stands on a central square framed by Funchal Town Hall and the Museum of Sacred Art, just a few minutes’ walk from Funchal Cathedral, Rua da Carreira with its galleries and the Municipal Garden, with bus stops and parking on Rua 5 de Outubro nearby, making it easy to combine a visit with the city’s main cultural and historic sights.
