Palheiro Gardens (Jardins do Palheiro), also known as Blandy Gardens, is located at Caminho da Quinta do Palheiro 32 in the São Gonçalo parish east of Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal, about 500 meters above sea level on a hillside overlooking the city and bay. Accessible by bus 37 from central Funchal or a 15-minute drive, this historic 19th-century estate spans themed gardens with camellias, roses, tropical plants, lakes, and panoramic viewpoints. Within the estate lies Palheiro Golf course and Casa de São João mansion. Close downhill are Quinta da Boa Vista orchid garden, Zona Histórica old town streets, Mercado dos Lavradores market, Sé Cathedral, Varadouros Old Gate, and Funchal Marina. Further west connect to Jardim Municipal do Funchal, Chafariz da Praça do Município fountain, Funchal Quay cruise terminal, and the broader central waterfront promenades via bus or taxi.
