The Sacred Art Museum of Funchal is located at Rua do Bispo 21 in the former Episcopal Palace, a 16th-century landmark in Funchal's historic Sé district on Madeira island, Portugal, right between Largo do Colégio square and the Sé Cathedral. Housed in this ornate bishop's residence overlooking Praça do Município, it offers easy pedestrian access amid the old town's cobbled streets and vibrant atmosphere. Nearby, the imposing Sé Cathedral stands adjacent with its Gothic portal and Manueline tower, while Igreja de São João Evangelista lies across the square showcasing exquisite 17th-century tiles. The Colégio dos Jesuítas church and ruins anchor the area uphill, complemented by the Town Hall at Largo do Município steps away.
