Location

Haarlemmerhout is located on the south side of Haarlem, in the Haarlemmerhoutkwartier district, just a short walk from the historic city centre. The park stretches along the Dreef and Fonteinlaan, forming a green belt on the old sandy ridge that runs towards Heemstede. Nearby are the neoclassical Paviljoen Welgelegen, now the seat of the provincial government, several residential streets with historic villas, and easy walking routes into central Haarlem. Within and around the park you will also find a petting zoo, deer camp, tea house, playgrounds, a music pavilion and the Hildebrand Monument, making it a lively recreational area close to the city.
