Sailor’s Monument is located at the northern end of Torgallmenningen, Bergen’s main square, in the city centre near the harbour. It is one of the most central landmarks in Bergen and is easy to find while walking through the pedestrian streets. Nearby, the monument is surrounded by some of the city’s most popular attractions and lively public spaces. The Fish Market is close by, and Bryggen, the UNESCO-listed Hanseatic wharf, is also within easy walking distance, making it simple to combine the monument with Bergen’s most famous historic waterfront area.
