Fløibanen is located in Bergen city centre at Vetrlidsallmenningen, where the lower station begins the funicular ride up to Mount Fløyen. It is one of the city’s most visited attractions and is easy to reach from the historic waterfront and main shopping streets. Nearby, Fløibanen sits very close to Bryggen, the UNESCO-listed Hanseatic wharf, which is one of Bergen’s most famous sights and a key stop for visitors exploring the old harbour area. The Fish Market is also just a short walk away, making it easy to combine the funicular with a look at Bergen’s waterfront and local food scene. From the lower station, visitors can also reach Bergen Harbour, the city centre, and several cafés and shops, while the top of Fløyen offers trails, viewpoints, and nature walks overlooking the city.
