Nygårdsparken is located in central Bergen, between the neighbourhoods of Nygård and Møhlenpris, just south of the city centre. It is one of Bergen’s largest urban parks and is easy to reach on foot from the main downtown area. Nearby, the park is close to several of Bergen’s key attractions and cultural spots. The University of Bergen is adjacent to the park, giving the area a lively student atmosphere, while the KODE art museums and Byparken are within easy reach in the city centre. Visitors can also continue toward the Fish Market, Bryggen, and Fløibanen, which are some of Bergen’s best-known sights and are simple to add to the same day out.
