Steelpark in Košice is one of the city’s most engaging science attractions, created to showcase the industrial and technological heritage of eastern Slovakia in a playful, hands‑on way. Developed in cooperation with U. S. Steel Košice, it blends education with entertainment, turning complex scientific principles into intuitive experiences. One of its most interesting aspects is that many exhibits are inspired by real processes used in steel production, giving visitors a rare look into the physics and chemistry behind one of the region’s defining industries. Inside, guests can experiment with more than 50 interactive stations covering magnetism, robotics, energy, and materials science. Popular highlights include the robotic arm that visitors can control, the levitating magnetic globe, and the “liquid metal” demonstrations that explain how steel behaves under extreme temperatures. Children and adults alike enjoy the playful mechanical puzzles and kinetic installations that reveal how motion, force, and balance work in everyday life. The upper floor often hosts temporary exhibitions focused on innovation and engineering. Steelpark stands out for making science tactile, surprising, and genuinely fun.

Steelpark is a science park located at Kukučínova 2 in Košice, in the Kulturpark complex close to the city centre. It is an interactive attraction where visitors can explore science in a playful way, making it especially popular with families, children, and curious travellers. The museum offers hands-on exhibits and a lively atmosphere, so it is both educational and fun. There are several tourist attractions nearby that make it easy to plan a full day in Košice. The historic old town is only a short distance away, where you can see Hlavná Street, St. Elisabeth Cathedral, St. Michael’s Chapel, and the Singing Fountain.
