SNM – Spišské Museum in Levoča is one of Slovakia’s most atmospheric heritage institutions, rooted in the medieval splendour of this UNESCO‑listed town. SNM – Spiš Museum in Levoča is a Slovak National Museum branch located in the historic center of Levoča, on Námestie Majstra Pavla, right on the main square of the town. It is a good stop for visitors who want to explore the cultural and historical heart of Spiš, with its museum rooms placed in buildings connected to the old town’s heritage. Nearby, you can easily see several of Levoča’s best-known sights. Just around the square are St. James Church, the Old Town Hall, and the famous Cage of Shame, while a short walk away you will find Mariánska hora, a major pilgrimage hill with wide views over the town. For a longer outing, the UNESCO-listed Spiš Castle is one of the most important attractions in the wider area.
