The sail training ship Gorch Fock is located at the Gorch-Fock-Mole, at the northern end of the Kiel waterfront known as the Kiellinie, in the naval district of Wik, Kiel. This iconic three-masted barque serves as a symbol of the city and the German Navy’s training fleet. Nearby, visitors can explore the naval port area of Kiel-Wik, including the Seebar Duesternbrook and the tower of the Petrus Church garrison church. The ship is anchored close to the vibrant waterfront promenade, offering views of passing vessels and easy access to nearby cafes, museums, and maritime attractions, blending naval tradition with urban maritime culture.​
