The Kiel Transmission Tower, known as the Fernmeldeturm Kiel, is a prominent modern landmark situated in Kiel, Germany. Built between 1973 and 1975, it reaches a height of 230 meters and is used for directional services, as well as TV, VHF, and UHF transmission. The tower is located in the Vieburger Gehölz municipal forest, a natural area providing a peaceful environment. Nearby, residents and visitors can find residential neighborhoods to the west and east, with easy access to Kiel’s city center and waterfront. Notable nearby points include the Kiel Opera House, the Zoological Museum of Kiel University, and the historic Hörn Bridge, which connect the different parts of the city and offer scenic views of the Kiel Fjord.
