Falckenstein Beach in Kiel is located on the western shore of the Kiel Fjord, extending through the districts of Kiel-Pries and Friedrichsort. This approximately 2-kilometer-long sandy beach is the longest in Kiel and is popular for family recreation and water sports like windsurfing, catamaran sailing, and scuba diving. The beach features coastal dunes, playgrounds, a beach volleyball court, minigolf, and the High Spirits high ropes course, providing a variety of leisure activities. Nearby are restaurants, a youth hostel, and public facilities, with scenic views of cruise ships and ferries passing close by on their way to the Kiel Canal and Kiel port.
