Opernhaus Kiel is located at Rathausplatz 4 in the very heart of Kiel’s inner city, right beside the distinctive tower of Kiel City Hall and close to the small Rathausplatz park that opens towards the pedestrian zone. From here it is only a short walk to Holstenstraße shopping street, the Alter Markt, and the waterfront around Kiel Fjord with its promenades, piers, and boat connections, as well as nearby cultural venues such as the Kieler Schloss, Stadt- und Schifffahrtsmuseum, and various cafés, restaurants, and bars clustered in the surrounding streets.
