Espoo Cultural Centre is the city’s main stage for performing arts and cultural life, located in the heart of Tapiola and known for its striking architecture by Arto Sipinen. Opened in 1989, the building houses two halls—Tapiolasali for large concerts and Louhisali for theatre and intimate performances—creating a versatile setting for more than 600 events each year. Its programme spans classical and contemporary music, theatre, dance, film, festivals and children’s culture, with resident institutions such as the Tapiola Sinfonietta and Espoo Theatre enriching its vibrant calendar. The centre also hosts exhibitions, community events and cultural services, making it a lively meeting place for locals and visitors. Surrounded by the cultural square, gardens and nearby landmarks, Espoo Cultural Centre stands as a dynamic hub where creativity, learning and shared experiences come together throughout the year.

Espoo Cultural Centre is located at Kulttuuriaukio 2, 02100 Espoo, in the heart of Tapiola, next to the Tapiola swimming pool and directly by the AINOA shopping centre. It sits just a short walk from Tapiola metro station and the main bus terminal at AINOA, placing it within easy reach of other Tapiola cultural venues such as EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Exhibition Centre WeeGee, and the Tapiola Garden hotel area. Visitors can easily combine a performance, concert, or theatre visit at the cultural centre with shopping, dining at AINOA, a swim at the neighbouring pool, and an evening stroll around the Tapiola central square and nearby green spaces.
