Ringve Music Museum is Norway’s national museum of music and a distinctive cultural landmark set on a historic estate overlooking the Trondheim fjord. Its exhibitions explore the global story of musical instruments, from rare European harpsichords and stringed instruments to pieces originating far beyond the Nordic region. The manor house presents music history through atmospheric period rooms, while the modern exhibition building offers interactive displays that reveal how instruments are crafted, played and preserved. Ringve Music Museum is nestled in the peaceful Lade district of Trondheim at Lade allé 60, on the scenic Lade peninsula just a short bus ride or drive from the city center. This charming venue, set amid lush greenery, serves as Norway's national museum for music and musical instruments, housed in historic wooden buildings that enhance its cultural allure.
