Velika and Mala Petka Forest Park form one of Dubrovnik’s most refreshing natural escapes, stretching across a pine‑covered ridge above Lapad Bay. These twin forest parks have been protected since the early 20th century, preserving a rare pocket of Mediterranean woodland within the city. Their network of winding paths leads through dense pines, cypresses, and fragrant undergrowth, creating a cool refuge even on the hottest summer days. The parks are known for their viewpoints.
