Vērmanes Garden is Riga’s second-oldest public park and a cherished green space in the city centre. Established in 1814 through the generosity of Anna Gertrud Vērmane, who donated land and funds, the park has evolved into a vibrant urban retreat. Landscaped by Georg Kuphaldt in the 19th century, it features exotic trees, flowerbeds, and elegant walking paths. Vērmanes Garden is Riga’s oldest public park, located in the very center of the city and bordered by Tērbatas, Elizabetes, Krišjāņa Barona, and Merķeļa streets. Established in the early 19th century thanks to the generosity of Anna Gertrud Vērmane, the park offers a peaceful green retreat amid Riga’s urban bustle.
