Rotušės aikštė, or Town Hall Square, is one of the oldest and most historically significant public spaces in Vilnius. Once the city’s main marketplace, it was surrounded by merchant houses and guild halls, with the Vilnius Town Hall—first mentioned in 1432—standing as its focal point. The neoclassical Town Hall, redesigned by Laurynas Gucevičius in the 18th century, now functions as a cultural centre and event space.
