Pavilniai Regional Park
About

Pavilnys Regional Park, located just east of Vilnius, offers a rich blend of natural beauty, geological wonders, and historical intrigue. Visitors can explore the Pūčkoriai Cognitive Trail, which winds past remnants of a 16th-century cannon foundry, a historic water mill, and the Belmontas waterfalls. The park also features Liepkalnis Hill, a popular winter ski spot that provides sweeping views year-round. With its diverse terrain of ravines, ridges, and wooded paths, Pavilnys is ideal for hiking, cycling, and nature walks. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot rare species like the Barbastelle bat, while history buffs can uncover traces of ancient settlements and 20th-century military bunkers. Easily accessible by public transport, the park offers a peaceful escape into nature without leaving the city’s edge.
