Pavilnys Regional Park, located just east of Vilnius, offers a rich blend of natural beauty, geological wonders, and historical intrigue. The park’s centrepiece is the Vilnia River Valley, home to the Pūčkoriai Exposure—a dramatic 65-metre cliff formed by glacial erosion and one of Lithuania’s most significant geological monuments. Visitors can explore the Pūčkoriai Cognitive Trail, which winds past remnants of a 16th-century cannon foundry, a historic water mill, and the Belmontas waterfalls. The park also features Liepkalnis Hill, a popular winter ski spot that provides sweeping views year-round. With its diverse terrain of ravines, ridges, and wooded paths, Pavilnys is ideal for hiking, cycling, and nature walks. Pavilnys Regional Park, also known as Pavilniai Regional Park, is located just outside Vilnius, with its main entrance on Belmonto Street (Belmonto g.), making it easily accessible from the city center by car, bus, or even a short train ride to the Pavilnys stop. The heart of the park is the scenic valley of the Vilnia River, featuring lush forests, rolling hills, and the unique Pūčkoriai Exposure—a dramatic geological formation and one of Lithuania’s most impressive natural monuments. Nearby, visitors can explore the Belmontas area, home to a former water mill now converted into a restaurant and entertainment center, as well as the picturesque Belmontas waterfalls. The park offers a network of hiking and cycling trails, a sundial exposition, and the Ribiškiai Labyrinth for family-friendly adventures.
