Galerija Fotografija, founded in 2003, is Slovenia’s first private gallery dedicated exclusively to classic and contemporary photography. Located in Ljubljana’s old city centre, it serves as a vital platform for both emerging and established Slovene and international photographers. The gallery hosts up to eight exhibitions annually, complemented by lectures, workshops, and round tables that foster public engagement with photographic art. It also operates a specialized bookshop featuring photography literature and artist monographs. With a strong presence at international art fairs, Galerija Fotografija continues to elevate Slovenia’s photographic scene on the global stage.

Galerija Fotografija is located at Levstikov trg 7 in the old city center of Ljubljana. Founded in 2003, it is Slovenia’s first private gallery dedicated mainly to fine art photography, showcasing works by established Slovene and international artists. The gallery also features a bookshop specializing in photography literature, and hosts a range of exhibitions, lectures, and cultural events.
