First opened in 1913 as the Neptune Theatre, it was renamed in 2011 in honour of Brian Epstein, the legendary manager of The Beatles. Its intimate 380-seat auditorium, adorned with ornate plasterwork and rich period detail, creates a warm, atmospheric setting for drama, comedy, music, and family shows. Over the years, it has hosted an eclectic mix of performances, from classic plays to cutting-edge new writing, as well as concerts, talks, and community events. After a period of closure, the theatre has been lovingly restored and reopened, reaffirming its place at the heart of Liverpool’s arts scene.
