Schloss Arff is a picturesque baroque castle on the northern edge of Cologne, set amid a romantic landscaped park that feels far removed from the bustle of the city. Built between 1750 and 1755, most likely by the French architect Michael Leveilly, it replaced an earlier medieval structure destroyed during the Cologne War. The castle’s elegant façade, historic courtyard, and surrounding centuries-old trees create an atmosphere of timeless charm. Once a noble residence, Schloss Arff has been carefully preserved and today serves as an exclusive venue for weddings, cultural events, and film productions. Its spacious interiors and event barn combine historic character with modern amenities, making it a sought-after location for both private and professional gatherings. Schloss Arff is located at Schloß-Arff-Straße 1, 50769 Cologne, in the northern area of the city near the municipality of Worringen. Surrounded by a green oasis with century-old trees, it is easily accessible by car from the A57 motorway (Cologne-Worringen exit) and by train to Cologne-Worringen station, just 3–4 kilometers away. The castle sits between Cologne and Düsseldorf, making it convenient for events and visitors arriving from either city. Nearby, you’ll find other notable countryside estates, local parks, and the villages of Roggendorf/Thenhoven and Hackenbroich. The immediate surroundings are peaceful and rural, with walking paths and green spaces perfect for relaxation or outdoor gatherings, while the city center of Cologne is approximately 18 kilometers to the south, offering a contrast of historic sites, museums, and shopping districts for those wishing to explore further.
