Basilica di San Lorenzo is one of Verona’s most atmospheric Romanesque churches, tucked between Corso Cavour and the Adige River. Although its origins date back to the 4th century, the church was rebuilt after the devastating 1117 earthquake, giving it the distinctive alternating brick‑and‑stone architecture that creates the striking striped interior pattern.
