Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Verona is housed in the former Habsburg San Tomaso barracks on Stradone San Tomaso 3, in the Veronetta district just across the Adige from the historic centre and within walking distance of Ponte Nuovo and Ponte Navi. The complex stands beside the church of San Tomaso Cantuariense and is easily reachable on foot from both Verona Porta Vescovo and Porta Nuova stations, while the nearby riverside promenades lead quickly towards central landmarks such as Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza Bra and the Verona Arena, where visitors find numerous cafés, restaurants and shops.
