Chiesa di San Michele in Borgo is one of Pisa’s oldest and most elegant medieval churches, standing at the entrance of the lively Borgo Stretto district. Built between the late 10th and early 11th century over an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Mars, it later became a Benedictine and then Camaldolese monastery.
