Design Museum Gent is located at Jan Breydelstraat 5 in the heart of Ghent’s historic centre. Housed in an elegant 18th-century mansion with a modern extension, it sits just steps from the bustling Veldstraat shopping street, Graslei and Korenlei waterfronts along the Leie river, and the Gravensteen castle. Nearby landmarks include St. Nicholas’ Church, the Belfry of Ghent, and the vibrant Patershol district with its cobblestone alleys and eateries, all within a short walking distance. The museum is easily accessible by foot from Korenmarkt tram stop and close to central parking at Parking Centrum Station. Note that it is currently closed for expansion and renovations until October 2026.
