The Natural History Museum Maastricht (Natuurhistorisch Museum Maastricht) is located at De Bosquetplein 7, in the historic Jekerkwartier district in the heart of Maastricht’s old town. It occupies the former Grauwzustersklooster monastery, tucked among atmospheric narrow streets just a short walk from the city centre shopping area and the River Meuse. Right next to the museum is its botanical garden on the banks of the small Jeker River, while in the immediate surroundings you will find Jekerpark, sections of the medieval city walls, cosy cafés and restaurants, galleries such as Galerie MOA, and charming historic houses.
