VIDA! science center

About

VIDA! Science Center in Brno is one of the city’s most energetic attractions, a hands‑on world where science becomes play. Housed in a former pavilion of the Brno Exhibition Centre, it spans more than 5,000 m² and offers over 180 interactive exhibits. A fun fact: the centre’s earthquake simulator is inspired by real seismic data, letting visitors safely experience the power of nature. Inside, the space is divided into thematic zones—Planet, Civilization, Man, and Microworld—each filled with experiments you can touch, push, spin, or climb. You can try piloting a plane in a flight simulator, create a tornado, test your reaction speed, or explore how the human body works through oversized anatomical models. The water world with its whirlpools and currents is especially popular with families. The science theatre adds another layer of excitement with live shows featuring chemical reactions, liquid nitrogen, and physics demonstrations. Seasonal exhibitions and outdoor installations expand the experience beyond the main hall. VIDA! is designed for curiosity at every age, making it one of Brno’s most engaging educational destinations.
