Villa Löw‑Beer in Brno is a quiet masterpiece of early 20th‑century bourgeois life, closely linked to the famous Tugendhat family next door. Built for textile industrialist Moritz Fuhrmann and later owned by the Löw‑Beer family, the villa reflects the refined lifestyle of Brno’s Jewish elite before the Second World War. One of its most intriguing facts is that Greta Löw‑Beer, who grew up here, later commissioned the iconic Villa Tugendhat—making the two villas a rare architectural and family duo. Inside, the permanent exhibition traces the story of the Löw‑Beer family, their business empire, and the dramatic events that forced them to leave Czechoslovakia. Period interiors recreate the atmosphere of a cultured household, with elegant salons, original furnishings, and personal objects that survived exile. The glass veranda overlooking the garden is a highlight, offering a glimpse into the villa’s social life. Villa Löw-Beer is a historic Art Nouveau villa in Brno, located in the Černá Pole district on Drobného Street, not far from the city center.
