The Aviation Museum Plovdiv is located a bit outside the city itself, right next to Plovdiv International Airport at Krumovo village, 4112 Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is the only aviation museum in Bulgaria and sits on the territory of the old military air base, so you will see a large open-air exhibition with jets and helicopters as soon as you arrive. It is not in the center, but easy to reach by car on the way to the airport. Because it is at the airport area, you won't have the classic Old Town museums right next door, but you are still not far from Plovdiv's main attractions. In about fifteen to twenty minutes by car you are back in the city center where you can visit the Regional Archaeological Museum, the Regional Ethnographic Museum in the Old Town, and the Regional Museum of Natural History. Nearby you also have the Ancient Stadium of Philippopolis in the pedestrian street, the Ancient Roman Theatre, Nebet Tepe and the whole historic quarter with its Revival houses and art galleries.
