Ribnjak Park is located directly behind Zagreb Cathedral, stretching along the east walls of Kaptol in the Gornji Grad–Medveščak district, just a five-minute walk from Ban Jelačić Square in the city center. The park occupies the western side of Ribnjak Street and was originally designed in 1830 as an English-style garden on the site of former bishopric fishponds, from which it gets its name. Today, Ribnjak Park covers nearly 40,000 square meters and features monuments, mature trees, and landscaped paths, offering a peaceful green space in the heart of Zagreb. Nearby, you’ll find Zagreb Cathedral, the Youth Center Ribnjak, the Purgeraj club, and the Sports and Recreation Center Šalata.
