The Gallery of Petar Dobrović in Belgrade is dedicated to one of the most influential Yugoslav modernists of the interwar period. Located at 36 Kralja Petra Street, in the very building where Dobrović lived and worked, the gallery preserves the intimate atmosphere of the artist’s former studio. Founded in 1974 and entrusted to the Heritage House since 2017, it houses a remarkable collection of over 1,400 works, including oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, and drawings, as well as personal documents and photographs. Dobrović’s vivid portraits and expressive landscapes reflect his mastery of color and form, bridging impressionism, cubism, and Serbian colorism. The gallery offers a focused insight into his artistic legacy, while also hosting works by other artists from his circle. As a cultural landmark in central Belgrade, it invites visitors to explore the life and vision of a painter who helped shape the visual language of 20th-century Serbian art.
