About

Founded in 2017 by Tanja Bergmann, Artbase Gallery began in Bad Homburg and relocated to Wiesbaden in 2019, occupying a striking Art Deco building with a former ballroom that now hosts up to three solo exhibitions simultaneously. The gallery champions contemporary painting, sculpture, collage, photography, installation, and performance art, often juxtaposing diverse styles and perspectives to spark dialogue. Artbase is committed to showcasing both emerging and established artists, with recent exhibitions including Nozomi Hasegawa’s “The Elegance of the Hidden.” In 2025, the gallery expanded to Berlin, reinforcing its presence in Germany’s cultural landscape. With a curatorial focus on innovation and contrast, Artbase fosters artistic exchange and challenges conventional boundaries. Its Wiesbaden location offers a spacious, light-filled setting ideal for immersive viewing experiences, making it a key destination for collectors, curators, and art lovers alike.
