Kurpark in Wiesbaden is a 75,000-square-meter English landscape garden created in 1852 behind the city’s Kurhaus. Originally designed by court gardener Schweitzer and later expanded by Frankfurt’s Sebastian Rinz, the park was conceived as a tranquil retreat for spa guests and locals alike. Its winding paths, lush lawns, and diverse tree species reflect the romantic ideals of 19th-century garden design. A central lake, formed by damming the Rambach stream, offers boat rides and is framed by a six-meter fountain and scenic views of the Kurhaus. The Eiskeller hill features a historic viewing pavilion, adding vertical interest to the otherwise gently sloping terrain.
