Catedral de Segovia

Catedral de Segovia
About

Segovia Cathedral, often called the “Lady of Cathedrals,” stands as one of Spain’s last great Gothic masterpieces. Rising above the Plaza Mayor with its elegant tower and harmonious proportions, the cathedral embodies both grandeur and serenity. Its interior is filled with soaring vaults, luminous chapels, and an impressive collection of religious art that reflects centuries of devotion. The main altarpiece, stained‑glass windows, and finely carved choir stalls highlight the craftsmanship that shaped this monumental space. Walking through its vast nave, visitors experience a sense of calm that contrasts with the lively streets outside. The cathedral’s history, marked by royal ceremonies and civic life, reinforces its role as a spiritual and cultural symbol of Segovia. Majestic yet welcoming, it remains one of the city’s most defining landmarks.
