The Aqueduct of Segovia stands as one of Spain’s most extraordinary Roman engineering achievements, a monument that has shaped the identity of the city for nearly two millennia. Built around the late first or early second century, it once carried water from the Frío River across more than fifteen kilometres to the heart of Segovia. Its most iconic section rises above Plaza del Azoguejo, where 167 granite arches soar without a single drop of mortar, held together purely by the precision of their stonework.
