St. John the Baptist Archcathedral is located at plac Katedralny 18, 50-329 Wrocław, Poland, on Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island) in the historic heart of the city. This Gothic landmark with twin 98m spires serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Wrocław and stands as the oldest brick church in Poland, rebuilt after WWII damage. Surrounding it on Cathedral Island are the peaceful Tumski Bridge with its gas lamps, Church of St. Cross, and the serene riverside boulevards along the Oder.
